				 Bath: Walking from the
                University to Town
The shortest route from the university to the town centre is
down Bathwick Hill. It is fairly easy to walk, at least when you
are heading down. On the way up, you can use the Orange bus,
which climbs up the hill every six minutes in days time during
                university term.

				| Bathwick Hill is one of the most prestigious residential
areas of Bath - and thus of England. Spectacular historical
residences enjoy unique views over the city. |

				| Further down start rows of town houses, while
the view opens up over the valley ahead, with more town houses.

				| The road passes over the Kennet & Avon canal,
where scores of narrowboats are resting. |

				| Finally, we reach Bathwick, turn left at St.
                Mary's
church, or at the Museum of Art, for the town centre. |
